Installed VIA VT6421A Raid Controller (3249)

I have installed my VIA VT6421A pci card. There was no xp drivers on the disc so I installed some other drivers I downloaded from the internet and now in device manager it says SCSI VIA RAID Controller 3249.

The new iprep It detects my via sata card in the SCSI tab and say in green mtk flash and dosflash compatible. I create a boot up pen drive with the latest 1.4 firmware for the samsung ms28 drive but it dose not detect EXTREME PRI MASTER

Mine is the same m8...not got a working flash off it yet but it will detect primary master.Also try plugging sata lead into the front end of card not side seems to make a difference.With old drivers i did flash sucessfully when it show3ed up as via 6421a.
Is this correct vt6421a showing as 3249? will it work ok?
Im gonna try the older drivers again or even the generic windows drivers so the card shows up correctly.

Hey guys, Ive got exactly the same problem, It is showing as a 3249 on my xp comp. This card is working fine with my MS25 but when I attempted to use it with a BenQ it refused to work! Anyone know how to sort this out?? Thanks in advance Very Happy

I had the same problem. In order to fix it I had to go into the registry and delete all instances of the VIA driver because the uninstall program fails to work. Then I delete the driver from the windows/system32/drivers folder and from the prgram files folder. Then I installed this file which is the newest working that I have seen so far. Version 530C.

Hey guys, what I've been telling people is to install v5.50b. It works great and I've never had a problem after install it. Try that. The link is in my sig.

I got the same problem, i'm installing the drivers that comes with the card but i can't find the Xbox... Please HELP!

okay so ive been looking EVERYWHERE to try and find a way to get my drives to be detected in Jungle Flasher, and you guys just helped me big time with those drivers, couldnt find thme anywhere, kept coming up as 3429 or something. thanks!

I started to flash my xbox but the bios would detect my benq drive but my windows would not i was wondering if ne1 could help me with finding a chipset for via where to download and all i have a hp pavilion

hi. i wasn't sure if i should make a new thread regarding this but i recently installed this PCI card to my vaio under windows 7 32 bit. it came with a disc for drivers but windows 7 installed it automatically. as i was following the tutorial for JF 1.69 for my lite-on 83850c, it comes up with the portio32.sys error message & enumeration message afterwards too. i tried to see if it detects my drive but no luck. i don't know what i am doing wrong. any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you

mine was displaying as 3249 as well & so i uninstalled the whole driver & card to install the one you provided but when i execute the setup, it brings me back with a STOP message.

i don't know what else to do but i hope installing XP again on a seperate partition will do the trick.

Good day, my English language skills is not very good but i try to explain my problem. I install Blaster CK3 to my XBOX 360 Limited Edition and works fine, but when I install PCI CARD VIA-VT6421A CHIPSET to my computer with windows 7, internet don’t want to work, can you help me to resolve this problem. Ive copied and RAR'd the disc that came with my VIA VT6421A sata card, it has windows XP, Vista and Linux drivers in there for you all having problems, hope it helps Smile
