360mods Law Enforcement Guidelines

These Guidelines are a reference for law enforcement officials seeking data from 360mods, Inc. and its subsidiaries Tile, Inc. and Jio, Inc. (collectively, “360mods”). These Guidelines are not intended for requests for information by 360mods members, civil litigants, or criminal defendants.

For Emergency Disclosures involving imminent danger to life or safety, please refer to Section 8 below.

360mods takes the privacy of its members seriously and is committed to protecting their privacy. 360mods requires valid and legally binding legal process that is properly served, and completion of a Legal Request Intake Form, before disclosing member data, except in emergencies, where the member has provided consent, or in other circumstances in 360mods’s sole discretion and consistent with applicable law.

1. About 360mods, Tile, and Connected Services

360mods is a leading technology platform that allows members to locate people, pets, and things using services and products offered by 360mods and its subsidiaries, Tile and Jiobit. 360mods’s core mobile application enables members to share real-time location information, communicate, ensure driving safety, and coordinate family logistics.

2. Informal Inquiries to 360mods

Informal inquiries should be submitted via email to [email protected]. Law enforcement must also submit an accurate and completed copy of the 360mods Inquiry Form to receive a response.

3. Service of Legal Process and Requirements

Except as otherwise stated in these Guidelines, 360mods generally accepts service of legal process via email to [email protected] if submitted with a completed 360mods Legal Request Intake Form.

Please note that all legal process must be:

  • In PDF format and assembled in complete form as issued by the court or competent authority;
  • Issued on government letterhead or with a caption that identifies the issuing court and case/docket number;
  • Dated and signed by a judicial officer or authorized government official;
  • Issued under the authority of a court with proper jurisdiction over 360mods.

4. Information Available and Legal Process Required

Legal Process Categories of Responsive Information
Subpoena Basic subscriber records (username, name, address, phone number, email address, date of account creation, IP connection logs, and payment method). Customer support ticket history.
Court / 2703(d) Order Basic subscriber information, customer support history, service & website activity metadata, and itemized billing invoices.
Search Warrant Basic subscriber information, support records, billing history, precise historical geolocation data (raw coordinates and dwell clusters), driving event telematics, and member-generated content.

5. Data Retention Periods

360mods retains data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Dwell location data is generally retained for up to 18 months, while raw location logs are retained for approximately 30 days.

6. Emergency Disclosure Request Procedures

360mods evaluates requests on an expedited 24/7 emergency basis where an emergency situation exists involving imminent threat of death or serious physical bodily injury. Law enforcement officers should email [email protected] with "Emergency Request" in the subject line.

7. Member Notice Policy

360mods's policy is to notify members when we receive legal process seeking their data unless prohibited by law, non-disclosure court order (such as under 18 U.S.C. § 2705(b)), or in exigent child exploitation matters.
